About this artwork
Horse Play was inspired by her time working on a ranch in Page Springs, AZ where she swam horses for therapy and exercise. This painting was done around the same time as Swimming Down the River, where horses are swimming in a river. In this painting the horses are relaxing and swimming among the lily pads. All the horses swimming were taken from photos of horses she took while swimming them at the ranch.
