This painted wooden sculpture-painting is a total immersion in the sound world of the Art Ensemble of Chicago, an attempt to translate their ongoing musical research into images. The album 'Les stances à Sophie', the soundtrack to the film of the same name, with its evolution of improvised and organized rhythms, has become my source of inspiration. I tried to capture the essence of that music, to transform sound into shape and color. The result is…

The sculptures, on the other hand, are inspired by late-nineteenth-century Italian peasant culture and the ancient symbols of the Samnites. These essential works evoke a delicate relationship between man and nature, awakening a subtle emotionality and an intimate, dreamlike dimension. He uses traditional materials such as wood, iron, and stone, often recycled and treated to restore their original value.
