About this artwork
This diptych is made with two works from Composition No. 36, comprising 14 panels, previously exhibited here. The work lends itself to being combined into two or three panels, losing its sense of continuity but preserving its content. Moreover, the pieces of music, and therefore the panels, are so different from one another that this opportunity can be exploited by carefully pairing works with similar shapes and colors. IV" and "Promenade I," which pictorially depict the entrance of visitors to the 1974 exhibition where Mussorgsky drew inspiration for his music. The series of concentric rectangular shapes interpret this entrance with colors inspired by the piece of music. There is more content in the attached video. Thank you.
