Drawing subtle inspiration from the engineering marvel described in 2 Kings 20:20 and 2 Chronicles 32:2–4, the work reflects the deep intrigue and spiritual weight of a historical moment when Jerusalem faced an imminent Assyrian siege—and responded not with panic, but with preparation.…
The tunnel, carved through solid rock to channel life-sustaining water from the Gihon Spring to the Pool of Siloam, symbolizes hidden perseverance, divine wisdom, and provision under pressure.
This piece is less about the literal form of the tunnel and more about what it represents: faith meeting function, trust meeting action, and the quiet power of unseen foundations. Just as the water flowed quietly beneath Jerusalem, sustaining a city at war.
