About this artwork
This painting was born out of a moment of worship and deep reflection during my Bible study on the book of Jonah. As I explored Jonah 3:1 “Then the word of the Lord came to Jonah the second time…” , I was struck by the grace of a God who offers second chances. This piece, part of my Rustic Oceanic Hues collection, was inspired by the image I imagined Jonah might have seen from within the belly of the great fish, endless, engulfing shades of deep…
blue. Even in that dark, confined space, Jonah’s calling hadn’t changed. He still had an assignment. Through this work, I’m reminded that the most dangerous thing we can do is ignore what God has spoken over our lives. God's timing is perfect, and His purpose will always find its way to the surface.
