About this artwork
I created this work to evoke the pristine beauty of Tuscan nature. Tuscan flowers, which could be glimpsed together with the poppies among the ears of wheat in Tuscany
lives in my memory as a child. Through the expressive use of acrylic, I wanted to capture the vibrant essence and lush soul of cornflowers, fusing the figurative and the semi-abstract. The energetic brushstrokes and fresh green and blue tones convey a sense of peace and rebirth, offering… a visual refuge that energizes and inspires any environment.
Luana Baldi, a native of Tuscany, mixes cement, plaster and glue to create contemporary and abstract canvases full of materiality. His style oscillates between the opacity of acrylic and the shine of tar, creating bold contrasts. His works are a chromatic journey into emotional depth, from the intense black of the night to the boundless blue of the sea.
