So slowly the earth began to heat up, so slowly the sun burned everything, so slowly the war broke out.
For Ly-Rose, the trees are the backbones of the world, they tell us our own story, teach us wisdom and verticality, and yet the fires keep ravaging them.
Ly-Rose often works in mixed techniques, with a finishing with oil paint on paper and imprints in order to find the texture of the bark, the vein of the leaf, the pleated aspect of the trunk… where bury the "secret stories" of the artist. Do not try to decipher the texts. Only the tree spirit can read them.
