About this artwork
This painting is an invitation to explore the deep emotions and ephemeral beauty of the end of the day, bringing a touch of calm and inspiration into your home.
My relationship with trees is very strong: African trees of course, but also olive trees, oaks, umbrella pines, acacias... For me, they are the backbones of the world, telling us our own story, teaching us wisdom and verticality.
I often work in mixed techniques, with an oil paint finish… on paper marouflage and prints in order to rediscover the texture of the bark, the veins of the leaf, the pleated aspect of the trunk where my stories are buried.
