About this artwork
"Fleurs d'eau" represents trees which dance to the rhythm of the sky, which they admire as attentive spectators.
They waddle happily like two friends in a kind of joy, which pushes the admirer of this work to want to be part of it.
The palette of colors dear to Lydie Allaire and her freedom to pose them through spontaneous gestures, make the canvas alive and luminous.
The title she chose is explained by the fact that they appear to us like two… flowers that have grown, and harmoniously grown thanks to a pool of water evoked by the blue, and this despite the rocks that imprison it.
So the artist's message can be that, notwithstanding the period in which we are living, we are resisting, having music within us that will still resonate.
We like to believe that it will be soon ...

« I like to believe that I can offer others the little music of the heart that makes life dance. This is for me the mission of the artist: a message of joy. »
Lydie Allaire translates everything we see in our everyday lives into a new discovery. The award-winning French artist views each of her canvases as an adventure, as a story within her own story. In Allaire’s compositions, ‘the colors come up by themselves’, whether it is a memory, a moment, or a song. She creates with oils using mixed techniques that involve binders, collages, and powders.
