The serenity and beauty of nature are my counterbalance to the noise and emotional overload that living in a big city entails. Concentrating on the painting of a flower like this is a breath of fresh air for me, and I hope it is for everyone who contemplates it...the padma (or lotus flower) is a flower of deep spiritual meaning, encompassing purity, creation, renewal and connection with the divine The flower, painted in an intense saffron tone, unfolds…
