About this artwork
Always with nature as inspiration, and watercolor as a challenge, this "Padma'" emerges: a recreation of a serene pond with an exultant flower.
A symbol since the dawn of time for cultures such as Egypt and India, of resurrection, serenity, fertility and compassion...in any of its varieties it is always a sight to behold, and an inspiration for artists.
'Padma', which is what the mythical lotus flower is called in Sanskrit, measures 68 x48 cm and… is now available.
Work done in watercolor on 100% cotton paper.
Work framed with straight architect-type molding in oak color for exhibition (number 5), but we can frame it in another finish and leave it ready to hang.
Trained in Fine Arts, Macarena Sanz transitions fluidly from oil to graphite, but it is in the magic of watercolor where she finds her voice. With a bold technique that challenges the limits between figurativism and abstraction, Sanz approaches large formats to explore serenity in the face of chaos. His works are an oasis of tranquility that invite you to find calm amid the storm of daily life.
