About this artwork
There are moments when space becomes memory — when form dissolves into thought, and light turns into the language of silence.
In The Blue Passage, I wasn’t painting the outer world, but perception itself. Each block of blue and gold carries the vibration of transition — a passage between what is seen and what is felt.
The geometry I built is both deliberate and uncertain, like the structures of consciousness I constantly construct and dismantle… within myself.
Through the rhythm of color and shadow, I search for what lies beyond the threshold of light — that fleeting point where clarity meets mystery.
This work is part of my ongoing series See Beyond the Sea — a meditation on distance, reflection, and the quiet architecture of the mind.

Maksym Stasiuk is a Ukrainian painter, illustrator, and printmaker born in Zhytomyr, Ukraine.
For over 20 years, he illustrated hundreds of children’s books, working in both digital and traditional techniques.
Recently, he returned to his first passion — painting. Maksym works with watercolour, acrylic, and graphic techniques, exploring themes of memory, transformation, and emotional depth.
Since relocating near Lviv with his wife and two children, he has focused on developing his own artistic voice.
Art is a shared path in the Stasiuk family: his wife and daughter are also artists, and their life together is built around creativity and meaning.
