About this artwork
The work was created using monotype—a unique printmaking technique in which an image is created by pressing paper against a sheet of glass covered with printing ink and then "drawing" on the back. This method is characterized by soft, slightly blurred structures and surface irregularities. Each monotype is unique, one of a kind, as the print is created from a single contact of printing ink with the paper. The work is framed in a 50x70cm

« Every time I start a new painting, I can't wait to see the result. When I finish, I can't wait to start a new one. »
Marcin Lenczowski is a Polish artist whose paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally. His artistic expression focuses on individuals who are often portrayed in opposition to broader society. Lenczowski's compositions express feelings of alienation, loneliness, and the need for self-expression in juxtaposition to the environment, and the preservation of identity in modern society. He emphasizes minimalistic methods, including
strong contouring and contrasting colors, "rather than imposing the meaning of art".
