“Dialogues between heaven and earth” is inspired by the Renaissance wooden altarpiece, in particular by some recurring elements of this historical genre, in a contemporary key: the angels, the miracle of the sacredness of motherhood, the client, the apparitions of human figures.
The wood, with its material surface, its veins and warm color, is the context and background of the composition that engages with the human body in its expressive and existential… charge.

Marco Ronga is an experienced painter, draftsman, and sculptor based in Italy whose works have been exhibited nationally and in England. He describes his works as fusing themes of the portrait and the human figure with suggestions of urban architecture and the landscape resuting in "portraits of places and landscapes of bodies". Ronga's painterly compositions are most often created with acrylics and oils on wood or canvas.
