The summer heat on the green waters of the Bacchiglione river in Padua drives a couple to share their passion for rowing and overcome inertia and exhaustion during the hottest hours of the day. This activity on the river involves several age groups of the local population who experience the river as a resource within the city. The pitiless light draws the anatomy of the bodies even more interesting because they are lived, while the essential chromatic… choice enhances the composition of human bodies. The shades of green suggest the flow of water and a portion of the boat below defines the support point of the two figures.
The painting is presented with its frame which has a total size of cm. 53x53.

Marco Ronga is an experienced painter, draftsman, and sculptor based in Italy whose works have been exhibited nationally and in England. Ronga's painterly compositions are most often created with acrylics and oils on wood or canvas.
