About this artwork
The summer heat on the green waters of the Bacchiglione river, in Padua, pushes two rowers to overcome inertia and exhaustion in the hottest hours of the day. The rowers have different ages because in fact this activity on the river involves several parts of the local population who live the river as a resource within the city. The light recalls Hopper's painting while the essential chromatic choice enhances the composition of human bodies.
