About this artwork
It's My Turn is the most chromatically intense painting in the Wild collection. The blue field was built first, deep teal and cerulean laid in large sweeping arcs across the upper two thirds of the canvas. Then the red arrived over it, fast and directional, moving upward from the lower right with the force of something that has been waiting. The yellow answered from the lower left with equal velocity, paint moving quickly enough that splatters of… both colours are visible across the surface. Green marks cut between them, darker and more linear.
The formal argument is about proportion and refusal. The blue field is vast. The warm colours occupy only the lower third. And yet they are what the eye goes to immediately and cannot leave. The demand does not need to be large to be undeniable. It needs to mean it.
36"×48", acrylic on canvas. Part of the Wild collection, 2024.
Margaret Lipsey is a Montreal based abstract artist whose work moves between intuition, gesture, and emotional clarity. Her paintings hold the tension between structure and surrender, revealing the quiet force that rises when truth meets movement. Rooted in her background as a Reiki Grand Master and Human Design Consultant, her practice is shaped by presence, energetic precision, and embodied awareness. Color becomes resonance, line becomes intention, and each composition reflects a state of internal alignment expressed through form. Lipsey’s work appears in international publications and curated exhibitions, and her paintings are held in private collections across Canada, the United States, and Europe. She creates with devotion, depth, and a clear sense of purpose, offering collectors work that carries both aesthetic impact and grounded energetic presence.
