About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to capture a moment of pure stillness, an instant in which nature reflects itself with extreme grace. With "Harmony in Pink," my goal was to transform a classic vision—that of water lilies and spring flowers—into an almost tactile experience, one that goes beyond the simple image.
To convey the vitality of this scene, I chose to work with a textured oil technique, using bold, bold brushstrokes. The use of impasto allowed me… to give body to each individual petal, ensuring that the light is not merely reflected, but literally captured by the relief of the canvas. The contrast between the deep, dark hues of the water and the vibrant pinks creates a visual rhythm that guides the eye along the body of water, inviting the viewer to pause for a moment.
