About this artwork
The sun was beginning to set behind the mountains, leaving a soft light that drifted over the lake like a sigh. Everything was tinged with shades of green, blue, and pink, slowly blending together, as if the sky and the water wanted to resemble one another.
From the shore, the landscape seemed calm, but something was stirring beneath the surface. Tiny currents stirred the water almost imperceptibly, and floating among them were plant debris, branches,… and mementos of other days. It was a place where everything arrived and everything stayed a little longer than expected.
The lake was silent, but not empty. The last colors of the day were reflected on its surface, while within it, unspoken stories accumulated. Each sunset was different, but they all had something in common: that instant when time seems to stand still before disappearing.
