About this artwork
The sun set slowly, painting the sky in soft, pinkish hues. From the porch, everything seemed farther away, as if time had stood still. The lines of the structure suggested a simple refuge, a place to stay without having to think too much.
She used to sit there every afternoon. She didn't do anything in particular, just gaze at the horizon and let her thoughts come and go, like slow clouds. Sometimes she remembered, sometimes she imagined, but… most of the time she simply felt.
The floor, dark and covered in tiny traces of time's passage, contrasted with the pink patches that looked like scattered flowers or memories stubbornly clinging to life. It was a space between what once was and what could still be.
On the porch, the world didn't demand answers. It only asked for presence. And in that silence, between heaven and earth, she found something she couldn't name, but that always made her stay a little longer.
María Sancho Andreu, a self-taught painter with thirty years of experience, uses acrylic, watercolor, and oil, incorporating earth and marble dust into her works. Her techniques combine Impressionism with a vibrant, colorful palette; she explores textures with sands and organic materials to capture the vibrant essence of nature, the sea, and the sky, as well as realistic portraiture. Her creations radiate happiness and inner peace, passionately conveying profound emotions and vivid moods.
