About this artwork
"The Kissing Knees" is an illustration done with colored pencils (Faber Castell polychromos) on 200g/m2 A4 paper. The portrait is inspired by a photograph by Daphne Agten @daphneagten (self-portrait).
In this portrait, in collaboration with the artist and model Daphne, I wanted to celebrate the softness and authenticity of the body. Each feature underlines tenderness and vulnerability, the pink hues emphasizing the sensation of spring freshness,… in an energy full of acceptance and renewal, as a symbol of pure, natural beauty.
