Let me share the story behind ‘Blooming.’ This painting captures a moment of grace, connection, and vitality among three women adorned in elegant blue hats, surrounded by a vibrant garden of blossoms. Each figure exudes her own distinct personality, their flowing dresses blending softly with the dreamy pastel hues of the background.
The inspiration came from a desire to celebrate the beauty of friendship and self-expression, much like how flowers… bloom uniquely yet harmoniously in a garden. The bold strokes of blue represent confidence, while the delicate patterns of the floral setting symbolize the fragility and vibrancy of life.
As I painted, I envisioned these women strolling through a magical garden, their laughter and conversations intertwining with the scent of blooming roses and the rustle of leaves. This piece is a reflection of the joy and renewal that companionship brings, much like the blossoming of flowers after a long winter.

Marie Manon Corbeil began to paint amidst personal challenges:‘Between sadness and hope, there was art’. Realizing that life’s difficulties provided her with a new means of expression, Corbeil wants to convey a sense of joy within her contemporary abstract works. She draws forms and writes positive words under each canvas before beginning a piece. Employing large brushes to provoke unplanned strokes, she also uses her fingers to optimize the vibrant colors in her compositions.
