Dancing with the Wind (from the series “Thinking of De Kooning”)
I painted this piece on a windy fall day, thinking of De Kooning and listening to Louis Armstrong. The rhythm of the music and the sound of the wind came together on the canvas — sometimes soft, sometimes wild.
I didn’t plan anything. I just followed the movement, the color, and the feeling. The painting became a dance — between light and shadow, joy and calm, music and silence.

For me, it’s not about what I see, but what I feel in the moment.
