About this artwork
In my painting "Réunion," I aim to celebrate unity and harmony, transcending gender, skin color, and religion. The people depicted are drawn close together, a visual representation of the realization that we are all equal. Embracing peace is the universal need of our world.
This artwork is painted on thick cotton canvas with several coats of varnish applied to protect the painting and enhance its luster. It is mounted on a 'gallery' frame, consisting… of 1.5” mounting bars with appropriate supporting bars. The sides of the artwork form an integral part of the painting. While not necessary a 'floating' frame would complement this beautiful artwork.

Marie Manon Corbeil began to paint amidst personal challenges:‘Between sadness and hope, there was art’. Realizing that life’s difficulties provided her with a new means of expression, Corbeil wants to convey a sense of joy within her contemporary abstract works. She draws forms and writes positive words under each canvas before beginning a piece. Employing large brushes to provoke unplanned strokes, she also uses her fingers to optimize the vibrant colors in her compositions.
