About this artwork

In this painting, I let intuition lead the way. Every brushstroke is a burst of emotion—raw, honest, unfiltered. Deep blue shapes anchor the chaos, holding space for the brightness around them: vibrant pinks, glowing golds, lime greens, and soft whites.

Tucked gently within the layers, almost like a secret, are the words you are loved, as if someone out there needed to hear it.

This piece is about contrasts: heaviness and light, messiness and clarity,… movement and stillness. It’s my way of saying that even in the loudest, most layered moments of life, there’s beauty. And love is always there—quiet, but constant.

Marie Manon Corbeil began to paint amidst personal challenges:‘Between sadness and hope, there was art’. Realizing that life’s difficulties provided her with a new means of expression, Corbeil wants to convey a sense of joy within her contemporary abstract works. She draws forms and writes positive words under each canvas before beginning a piece. Employing large brushes to provoke unplanned strokes, she also uses her fingers to optimize the vibrant colors in her compositions.
