About this artwork
In this work, I explored the boundary between realism and symbolism to capture the quiet power of nature. My artwork is a gel print on 170g linocut paper and addresses various aspects of lakeside plants. It depicts a typical riparian plant found on lakes and slow-moving waters, growing up to four meters tall, stabilizing the banks, acting as a natural water filter, and providing habitat and shelter for animals. It is an important part of the ecosystem.… The focus on this plant in my artwork highlights the significance of plants in our immediate surroundings. The work is rendered in black to emphasize the individual color variations and details of the plants. It is an invitation to experience moments of tranquility and depth—a touch of energy that will fill your home with a mysterious harmony.
« Art reflects, confronts and amuses. It never floats in a vacuum but arises in a social environment. »
My work explores the complex interactions between humans and nature, focusing on overlooked botanical life forms. My practice combines oil painting, drawing, and printmaking into a visual research that reflects ecological issues, species extinction, and sustainability. By aesthetically highlighting wild plants, I create a sensitive link between scientific observation and artistic interpretation. My work has been presented in numerous exhibitions both nationally and internationally and is held in private collections.
