« My work is a nonlinear investigation that takes me into multiple directions that are equally important. »
Mark Bakema is an emerging Dutch painter, sculptor and draftsman with national exposure. He first composes his works digitally, before materialising them with the use of a drawing machine or laser cutter. This process is intended to question the ownership and production of art: is the human responsible, or the machine? Does creativity rely more on control or coincidence?
