About this artwork
When I created Lavender Fields, I wanted to capture the quiet peace of standing in a field at dusk — the way the light warms everything and the world feels soft and open. I sculpted the ridges in plaster to echo the rows of lavender, then layered purples and gold so the piece would shift as the light moves across it. To me, this painting is about calm, beauty, and the deep sense of grounding we feel in nature. It’s a moment of stillness you can return…
to again and again.

I was born in Germany and now divide my time between California’s Sequoia National Forest and the rolling hills of Umbria, Italy. I have been creating for as long as I can remember and was rarely without a pencil, crayon, or paintbrush in my hand as a child. Although life eventually led me to build and run a successful company and later become an author, creativity has always been my true north. After decades of writing about authenticity, healing, and personal transformation, I now explore many of the same themes through art. One of my greatest joys has been opening my own studio and gallery in California, where I create large-scale mixed-media works using plaster, paint, epoxy, glass, and found materials. I believe art is more than decoration—it has the power to influence how we feel, think, and experience the spaces around us. My goal is to create work that brings beauty, joy, and a sense of possibility into people's lives.
