CONSISTANT
In his series EPHEMERS, the artist Martin Ecker deals with the perception of the zeitgeist, in a special way with the phenomena of the fleeting, the transitory, which ultimately remain without meaning.
With CONSISTANT, Ecker recalls one of the aggregate states from everyday life, the deadlock, the insistence on an opinion, the insistence on traditions, the insistence on rituals that usually form a constant in life without it penetrating… into consciousness, it is part of us. What if we rid ourselves of it?

Martin Ecker is a painter and photographer based in Germany whose works have been exhibited nationally. He cites space, time, and light playing a role in almost all of his compositions. In addition, Ecker's artistic practice favors experimentation with reactive processes and approaches. He has developed his own methods using living organisms in analog photography and also employs oxidation processes of precious metals his paintings.
