About this artwork
This artwork illustrates the omnipresent change in human life. The flowing blue sky contrasts with the stable, structured earth, symbolizing the interplay between calm and restlessness. The textured surface, reminiscent of an ancient wall, represents the enduring layers of our being, shaped by experience. The painting encourages viewers to embrace change as an opportunity for growth and to find peace in the here and now by accepting the transience… of all things.
This picture brings harmonious serenity to any room.
I am self-taught and paint the way I live: freely, curiously, and without a fixed set of rules. In my mixed-media art, I intuitively combine colors and materials until a vibrant, new story emerges on the canvas.
"I paint life – in all its facets."
My paintings emerge from an interplay of intuitive letting go and courageous action. I layer colors, scrape them away, and paint over them again. This creates a depth that mirrors real life: we, too, only gain our personality through everything we experience and endure.
For me, painting is the best proof of our resilience. We are not the sum of our crises. We are what we create from the shards of the past and the layers of our experience.
After my own fresh start, I want to encourage others to see the beauty in change and to find their way back to themselves.
