About this artwork
The small work was made on cotton paper with charcoal and acrylic paint. The composition is abstract, but I was inspired by the botanical drawings of the textures of the leaves' coat, where the veins compose imaginative interlockings. A sort of naturalistic abstraction where the chromatic effects that I inserted, taking inspiration from the colors of flowers and leaves and veer from yellow to green and from pink to purple.
In this small painting,… my abstraction is a process of investigation on the surface, in order to discover playful and poetic aspects and to transfer them to an observer.
