About this artwork
This work is born from the memory of Gaba-Kemisa, a small place in Ethiopia where I found something that is not always easy to name: home and silence.
Among simple houses, warm earth, and open skies, I discovered a form of presence that didn't depend on anything external. That landscape remained etched in my memory as a refuge.
Over time I understood that that place was not only outside, but also inside me.
“A Place to Return To” speaks precisely… of that: the path that leads us to rediscover our own inner home, that space of calm and truth to which we can always return.
« My art is a piece of me, of my personal feelings, of the colors that inspire me and it is created to calm the soul. »
