About this artwork
“Home” was born from a landscape experienced and felt in Gaba, Ethiopia, a place that left a profound mark on my personal and artistic journey. In this work, a church appears as a symbol of refuge, spirituality, and connection to what is essential. It represents not only a physical space, but an inner state: that silent place to which we can always return.
The landscape unfolds like a memory of the soul. The colors, shapes, and atmosphere evoke… the experience of walking far away only to ultimately return to oneself. “Home” speaks of the center, the root, the intimate place where truth and calm reside.
This work is an invitation to pause, breathe, and remember that true home isn't outside, but within. It's the space where we find support, listen to ourselves, and recognize ourselves. Returning to yourself is returning to your origin.

The true impetus for his artistic expression was born during his experiences as a volunteer in Ethiopia, a turning point that allowed him to translate his deepest thoughts and emotions into a purely visual language.
After years of training and experimentation in deep meditation and states of pure consciousness (Samadhi), Masqali's process has become an act of channeling and visual medicine. His works no longer seek only aesthetics, but the emission of healing frequencies, acting as portals of peace, mental silence, and spiritual reconnection.
With a vibrant, abstract, and textured style, Masqali incorporates rich textures and materials onto the canvas, employing acrylics, subtle golden sparkles, gouache, sand, pencils, and various everyday objects.
