"Brasil"is a large painting inspired by my time in Brazil. The colors echo the country’s intensity: green for its lush nature, red for the warmth of its people, blue for sky and sea, and yellow for the heat of the sun. A black sand-colored diagonal line recalls the reefs off Recife, natural barriers against the open sea. Together, color and movement express my personal sense of Brazil’s nature, warmth, light, and energy.
