About this artwork
Each of us seeks peace and quiet and we build our certainties one after another, but suddenly life tears through the calm with unexpected events like sharp blades, which bring sudden changes and new paths.
This work is part of my research that I called "new energy", because my colors and my signs are more incisive and rich in contrasts and reflect the continuous changing of experiences and the strong energy that is going through this moment of… my life.

Maurizio Paccagnella is an award-winning Italian painter and sculptor whose works have been widely exhibited nationally, as well as in Morocco. Formerly a hyper-realistic artist, he abandoned this expression, as it has become too tied to formality and perfection. Paccagnella's artistic journey led him towards the path of abstraction, from which he creates blurred and evocative images that seem to "emerge from the memories of the time".
