About this artwork

The walls of Venice, their history, the time that passes and leaves its marks. The memories of the men of the past and the history of this unique city are intertwined.
Each of my oil on canvas works is a long research that must respect the drying times of the colors, that starts from color fields and then removes, digs, engraves, until finding the essence of the painting, with a unique technique that I created after many experiments.
In this painting,… where oil is combined with enamels, the brightness of the white allows the colours to shine through, linked to the browns, reds and ochres of the earth, marked by incisions that recall our ancestral need to leave a mark.
