About this artwork
This photograph reveals a natural opening carved into the heart of the rock, like a mineral eye silently observing the vast landscape. Through this window sculpted by erosion, the view opens onto steep walls and rock formations bathed in warm light. The raw texture of the stone contrasts with the softness of the sky, creating an organic frame where nature itself seems to contemplate its own realm. The image plays on the notion of gaze: that of the… landscape, that of the rock, and that of the viewer, invited to unravel the mystery of this world shaped by time.
I am a self-taught artist who uses photography and documentary filmmaking to document my travel experiences. Through a minimalist style and a careful attention to light and texture, I capture the raw beauty of landscapes and wildlife. My works evoke an intense sensory experience, highlighting the threat of climate change to our planet and the fragility of its ecosystems.
