An intimate, understated plaster cast of the baby bump – the personal symbol of motherhood and new beginnings.
The surface has a subtle granite look, combining the delicate naturalness with the weight of the stone: delicately shaped contours meet timeless tranquility.
The sculpture is deliberately minimalist: no superfluous details, only the clearly recognizable silhouette as a bearer of expectation and protection.…
The material reflects the tension between transience (plaster) and permanence (stone appearance) and at the same time marks my artistic entry—a first testimony of personal and creative development.

Melanie Meyer, a self-taught artist, dedicates her work to the intensive exploration of human experience.
