People today are living in a hurry and living a hard life in affluent urban life. The artist born in Seoul, a big city, views such urban life in positive and active attitude. Everyday life and changes of urbanites are expressed simply, cleary and dynamically at work. Expressed in two-dimensional work through simple form, vivid colors and a broad outline, etc, such everyday experience and the social scene viewed… by the artist of the same age are stories of the artist herself and self-portraits of everyone of this age living in contemporary society changing quickly.
In the picture, a woman is standing in front of a crosswalk wearing high heels. She seems to be on the point of making a big decision. The precarious but shaky slender, long legs are the shape of modern people living today, and the height of high heels is her pride. It seems to be the artist's own pride in painting. I support woman who live in the modern world with dignity.
