About this artwork
This is her tenth piece of work in pop art series of "In the Garden" this year.
The artist majored in horticulture in college, and loves to grow flowers and plants. Her hobby is gardening.
Rose is her favorite flowers, and she tried to express red flowers in pop art work with black thick outlines.
Rose is a flower that comes out around 5~6month of year in Korea, and It blooms all four seasons these days.
She wants everyone to know and love… the beauty and unique shapes and colors of rose.
And, She is growing red roses herself in a studio pot. The other day, a white aphid appeared on a rose and sprayed it with medicine, and it recovered quickly.
It is cold winter in Korea now. We have a lot of snow this year. She imagines a pretty red rose blooming red in white snow.
