About this artwork
This series of works consists of lightly textured canvases with a palette knife. The lines are applied spontaneously, rhythmically, and playfully, incorporating chance. The association with natural objects is entirely intentional. The result is unique and unrepeatable. The textures are further enhanced through the use of colored pencils.

Michael Lerche uses acrylic paint, ink, varnishes, metal wire, wood, and various other materials, drawing on his experience as an industrial and furniture designer. His works are characterized by a reduced palette, serene clarity, and intriguing surface textures, in which he innovatively combines painting, sculpture, and graphic art. He masterfully portrays themes such as transience and nature's resilience, creating an inspiring and contemplative atmosphere that encourages reflection and instills confidence.
