About this artwork
"Geometry" is a view looking down from Custom House Wharf into the interior of a lobster boat. The metallic structure on the side deck of the boat is called a "pot hauler" and is an hydraulic winch that is used to pull the lobster traps out of the water. In this painting, the pot hauler divides the composition into interesting geometrical shapes.
