About this artwork
Jason is a lobsterman who fishes out of Cape Porpoise, Maine. In this painting, he is shown on his boat winching empty bait barrels up to the pier from his boat. For this composition, I was interested in the perspective of looking down from the pier onto the lobster boat and the shadows on Jason's yellow overalls.
