Michael Angelo Valotto is an American contemporary artist from Boston, Massachusetts, now based in Austin, Texas. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he explores identity, mortality, and the human psyche through vibrant, emotionally charged paintings.

Working in oil, acrylic, oil pastel, and mixed media, Valotto combines fragmented figures, expressive marks, and recurring symbols, including skulls, faces, moustaches, and hashmarks. His work bridges expressionism, abstraction, impressionism, and surrealism, creating an instinctive, deeply personal visual language.

Through series such as Constructed Faces and Mind Blown, he explores the relationship between the physical world and the unseen.
