About this artwork
This was a bright morning at my local farmer’s market. I was drawn in by the way the sunlight hit the wooden basket of apples, contrasted by the shade on other vegetables and flowers.. I wanted to capture not just the abundance of the produce but also that fleeting sense of community and calm that comes from wandering a market on a perfect day, surrounded by color, scent, and simple beauty. I just love painting colorful foods.
