This painting captures the quiet breath of the surface of a pond. The water is a deep, velvety blue, not meant to describe every ripple, but to hold the feeling of stillness and depth beneath. Across it, the lily pads drift like soft shields, overlapping in greens that shift from cool to sunlit, as if the light is moving even when the scene is calm.
At the center, the pink water lily opens fully, petal by petal, with a tenderness that feels both… fragile and certain. I let the brushstrokes stay visible so the flower could feel alive. For me, this is a bright bloom finding its place in shadowed water, floating without effort, inviting you to slow down and simply look.
