About this artwork
I am drawn to the drama and elegance of luxury storefront displays—how they transform clothing into something theatrical and aspirational. In this painting, part of my reflection series, I wanted to capture the moment when fashion becomes performance, with mannequins standing like silent actors beneath the glow of curated light.
The bold patterns, layered fabrics, and surrounding florals create a sense of richness and abundance. Reflections of the… street scene include a car, figure, bicycle, railing and crosswalk markings. The spectacle exists within the flow of everyday life. The glass storefronts blur the boundary between interior fantasy and the ordinary world beyond.
