About this artwork
I've been doing work on the theme of playing fluid for a few years.
Because I felt that people's dispositions, their experiences,
and their connections are all organic structures.
And I wanted to express them structurally from my point of view.

« I feel people's personalities, their experiences, and each of their relations as an organized structure. I want to express them using signs. »
South Korean painter Minjung Lee has exhibited work and won numerous prizes throughout South Korea. Deeply interested in the clouded boundary between reality and imagination, Lee explores concepts such as permeation and loss. Lee first applies a base of watercolor, or india ink to paper. Using smudging, dripping, and scratching techniques, she further textures her work before applying a final drawn layer. Lee's resulting earth-tone works are intricate and ethereal.
