About this artwork
I have been re-working Jules in the past six weeks, as I came into contact with her again after many years, I felt I had to continue the story of her through my work
To portray a sense of calm, love and understanding, this is my portrait of Jules , a character I came across that had an aura of calmness, a gentle soul in a world of turmoil, I have worked for several years on this work, adding layer upon layer until I feel she is ready for all to… see her

« Great energy is needed to make your mark and leave a message in the art world, but do not be too focused on gaining recognition, as it can be a false idol. »
Mista Fig is an experienced British sculptor who has exhibited his work internationally. He discovered a passion for art as a young boy, when he would take off-cuts of wood from his grandfather—a coal miner—and turn them into fruits of his imagination. Seeking always to create with passion and freedom, he constructs primarily figurative sculptures that tell stories across a range of themes.
