About this artwork
" The Shield " is my defence against the destruction of all that matters.
I took a cast of my torso, then embellished it with colour and symbols as my shield,
to protect me in battle.
Created from a water based resin, then coated with a mosaic of coloured glass and gem stones, helping the sculpture radiate in a positive glow.
My intention is for " The Shield " to stand proud and loud within the mis-information that surrounds us all.
